My work and myself are very closely entwined, I enjoy allowing parts of my personality to flow into my work and sometimes I feel my work effects my personality. A lot of the work I do is centred around the idea of identity. Some of my work is sometimes slightly sinister, in a way, not because I believe that is what people will want but because that is what I enjoy doing.
I like to mix of word and image together, to see how a word can give the image a brand new meaning or just gives greater meaning to the image, I like to incorporate poetry and lyrics into my work, which I believe can help give meaning to a piece.
I enjoy working with storyboards and the idea of sequence. In both my Alice in wonderland work and photography work, as well as the storyboard work itself. I have introduced this idea of a narrative, like where with the Alice in wonderland ink images I drew, the way I hung them added to the story by moving as the story did.
I like exploring emotion and how art can effect peoples the different emotions people have. I like my work to ask questions and to make people think, I also like creating pieces that allow people to interact with them, so they get more of a feel and I can get a different reaction.
